Tesco's were tops

My partner bought me a Vivitar camera from Tesco's 18 months ago and it was great for the first 10 months and then suddenly packed up. I was gutted because it was so easy to use and I've got some great pics with it. I tried umpteen times and ways to contact the Vivitar including their personal mailbox system to arrange for it to be fixed under the guarantee. In the end I went to the store it had been bought from to see if they had any different telephones numbers or addresses. The CS gave me the help line number, who in turn gave me more contact details for the makers of the camera to try. They also advised me to return to the store with the camera and receipt if I had no joy before the camera's guarantee expired. Cutting to the chase, I ended up returning to the store with te camera and trappings. Instore, I was offered replacments cameras but none had the specific functions of the original or were as high quality. I was happily amazed that even though it had been alomst 12 months since buying the camera in the first place, Tesco's refunded the money paid there and then instead.

its good news that we can return with in guarantee perieod ,and full money refunded. same thing happened to me at dixons, but they dint refund after 28 days.
