How often is JSA paid?

I'm a bit confused at the moment as to how often JSA is paid?

I got paid my backpayment 2 weeks ago on a monday when my claim (made in October grrr!!) was completed.

I sign on on a Monday morning and since the backpayment 2 weeks ago I haven't recieved anything.

Is there a specific day that JSA gets paid? Is it paid every 2 weeks?

The day you sign on, you should receive your money about 3 days after that day, every two weeks. So you should get paid on a Thursday.

If it hasn't gone in then phone them but they usually tell you to wait a couple of days before investigating.

I was thinking it may be Thurs/Fri as I assumed it would take a few days for my sign-on to be registered with the benefit people.

I'll just keep checking my bank - am holding out on the last bits of my xmas prezzie buying until my JSA comes in! (don't want to leave myself short gaah!)

It will be thursday, it's almost always 3 working days after sign on, so monday will be thursday, tuesday friday, wednesday monday etc etc

Do you mean you signed this mon just gone? If so your payment should land in the bank on thurs.
Once a claim has been awarded the Job centre insert the date you sign online (this should be done the same day) and the bacs payment should release overnight unless some kind of stop is on the account or there is a computer fault (the computer system is crap and no government will pay the cost to replace it so it just keeps getting "tweaked and adjusted"-it is basically the same system installed in the late eighties).

I wouldnt say the system is crap, it is old but it does the job fine. Replacing it would probably result in more problems e.g. NHS.

Anyways i digress, yeah thursday is when u will be paid.

I got my first payment 2 weeks after I signed on then every second Monday thereafter.

keep in mind that payments due close to or around xmas and new year are likely to be paid early.
