The Minister's Demonstration‏


Four worms and a lesson to be learned:

A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.Four worms were placed into four separate jars.The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.


At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:
The first worm in alcohol: Dead

The second worm in cigarette smoke: Dead

Third worm in chocolate syrup: Dead

Fourth worm in good clean soil: Alive.


So the Minister asked the congregation, “What did you learn from this demonstration?”

Maxine was sitting in the back, quickly raised her hand and said,

'As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!'

That pretty much ended the service….

For anyone interested in using your 40p Hellmann's mayo coupon from the GFS books it is on special at Spar £1 for a 400g jar so end up paying 60p a jar after coupon. Plus if you spend £10 there you can use the £1 off coupon from the 1st post. They have some good bargains at the moment. 8 Rashers of bacon for £1, Aunt Bessie's Roast potatoes for £1 (same as in Asda and Tesco) so 70p after using 30p coupon, Triple Velvet for £1.79 (cheaper than the major supermarkets) minus the 50p coupon so only £1.29 - those are just a few good deals to go toward the £10 needed to spend to use the £1 Spar coupon. It pays to shop around and I'm lucky enough to be able to walk to Spar so I don't have to use any petrol!!;)
