If you don't need this for/before Christmas then it might be worth waiting till January.
Does anyone know if the retailers are required by Microsoft to sell it at the same price for a fixed period, i.e. if I wait until the "January" sales will I get a better deal?0 -
It depends on how long they have the offer on for. Amazon for example tend to put their prices up and down quite frequently though the likes of Sainsbury's may have a set period before any of their offers end which may be more convenient for some.
As well as MSE forums you could try keeping an eye on HotUKDeals as people frequently post their latest deal finds on there. Keep an eye on the Hottest Today deals on the right.0 -
Posted this on the I wanna board yesterday as someone was asking for something similar, thought I'd better post it here as well.
Xbox 360 Bundle: 4GB console, Kinect & Kinect Adventures - £220 Zavvi Ebay Outlet.0 -
drdoom why not get the cheapest 4gb Xbox and purchase the Black Ops separately?
You could always trade in Black Ops at Cex.
CeX stores sell: £42.00
CeX stores buy for cash: £31.00
CeX Stores give exchange value: £33.000 -
Something I've just realised is that it's possible to add a MS Xbox 250GB HDD (at a massive mark-up on the input costs, natch) to the Xbox 360 S 4GB. You can probably find the HDD cheaper, but Amazon sell it for £75:

Twinned with Lugh's eBay Zaavi link above, you'd actually save £5 on the standard Xbox 360 S 250GB + Kinect package. Plus you'd get a matt Xbox, which would have been better for me (dogs & wet noses). Confirmation that there's no real difference between 4GB + 250GB and a straight 250GB (although it seems to me the access rates on the 4GB + 250GB option should be faster?):

I like Danwah's Argos find (prices have changed, but it's a Xbox S 250GB plus 6 games for £250) on page 2 though.
My personal favourite is still the Blockbuster One Months Free Game rentals with an Xbox bundle (although I admit I don't know the details - certainly there must be limits). Given that you might expect the price of the HDD to fall, buying a 4GB now and adding a 250GB HDD later might be an option.0 -

I've got a 4gb version on the way and I'm hoping that the hard drive is reduced post-Xmas. It'll largely be used for Kinect before then so that works out fine.0 -
