The 320gb is best if you download a lot of content including games, music, movies, and DLCs (downloadable content).
With 160gb you'll have less storage space on the hard drive. It's quite common apparently to use up most if not all of the storage space fairly quickly on a 160gb hard drive, that's why generally 320gb is more preferred.
And remember, the PS3 is also a multimedia appliance.
Things you can do on a PS3 are as follows:
play regular DVDs and Blu rays,
Downloading movies offline,
watching netflix,
downloading playstation, and playstation 2 games.
Downloading demos.
Can be used as a stereo (hooked on the TV or Surround sound). Store photos.
download games off line.
play playstation 3 games online for free.
web browsing
connect to your PSP or future PS Vita
webcam with friends and family.
You can also access computer content.
Play move ETC
If you want to get the most out of your PS3 then paying the extra few bucks to get the most out of it might be preferable.
If you're going to buy games, etc, mostly from the PlayStation Store then consider the 320gb.
However, if you buy game disks then go for the 160gb as there should be enough space for game data/install/DLC's, photos, music and videos.
Hope this helps.0 -
Currys in-store (not sure if online too) - DSi XL in green = £139.99
As these are so hard to find, in this colour anyway, and are either out of stock (Tesco) or ridiculously priced (around £189-190), this was a great find for us.0 -
They had green and blue ones on Amazon a few months back for £119.99. If you don't need one now you could always track the prices using camelcamelcamel if you prefer to pay less than £139.99.
Don't forget to post it here if the price does come down on Amazon [or wherever].0 -
Thanks Lugh_Chronain - fantastically helpful post!0

Hi all,
Wonder does anyone know much about Sony PSP was thinking about getting my husband one. There seems to be a 1000 version and a 3000. Which is better or is one as good as other? Anyone know any where doing good deals on these thanks.0 -

When I looked at this Game told me there is a new one coming out in February which will be online only and won't take the discs. Think was called PSP Vita.
As it will be online only they suggested that Sony might stop producing PSP discs, not sure if the older models can download games online but when you're choosing might be worth considering.
Going be quite expensive but should mean the price drops on the older models. Depends if you can wait until Feb.0 -
I wonder if that means games will only be available for downloading on Sony's PSP website or will there be others.
I say this as the Forza 4 limited edition game for the Xbox 360 is only available at Game and Gamestation, so not much competition there and maybe Sony will do something similar.0 -

I don't know about you but I usually have trouble downloading content offline0 -
Sorry if its been posted Before but I think this is a good deal.
£184.50 for an Xbox 360 250gb model with 12 months live and Forza 4 for free, also add another game for only £15, choose from Skyrim, Gears of war 3, Battlefield 3, fifa 12 and the sims pets bringing the total to £199.
Sell the 12months live and Forza4 for say £40 maybe even £50and you have a £150-160 xbox with a game that you want. :money:
Wont let me post a link but goto amazon and xbox deals0
