Hi there,
Does anyone know which chains might offer a gift card I could buy my friends for Christmas? I'd like to offer to babysit for them and then send them out for a meal together as they never have any time just the 2 of them. It'd be nice to be able to send them out without them having to worry about a spending limit - does anyone have any ideas? Or places that might do me an all-inclusive deal I can buy for them?
Many thanks.......

"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

If you're a Costco member or know someone who is, I noticed that they sell vouchers for Loch Fyne, 2 x £25 vouchers for £39.99. They might have had giftcards for other chains there too.0

I'm pretty sure places like Pizza Express do gift vouchers. Or you could go to a local restaurant and ask them.
Lovely gift idea, hope your friends appreciate it xJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

sounds like a great gift..i agree with previous poster ask around your local restaurants,i didnt realise our local Indian restaurant did gift vouchers until my friend bought them as a gift for her sister and brother-in-law,so there may be some local that dont advertise but still do vouchers.
other than that, then perhaps you could book in advance and pay upfront..this would maybe work in places with a "set menu"?Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.
Week 10,total weightloss is now 13.5lbs Week 11 STSweek 14(I think)..-2, total loss now 1 stone exactly
GOT TO TARGET..1/2lb under now weigh 10st 6.5(lost 1st 3.5lbs)0 -
What a lovely idea.
I noticed the other day that WH Smith do loads of gift cards, I remember seeing Pizza Express and Pizza Hut, but I'm sure they had loads of other ones aswell, here's a link but I'm sure there was more than just what's showing here http://www.thegiftcardcentre.co.uk/templates/page_01WHS.php?cfp=page:0026&keyword=dining
worth a look if you are near a WH Smith.
As mentioned above, if you have a nice resturant near your friend, why not ask them if they do gift vouchers as I'm sure many do.0 -
If you know a nice restauant that they would like I would go direct. I have done this for my father and just told the restaurant to put the bill through on my credit card. I would think that if you wanted to limit it you could do that as well. If the restaurant do not do gift vouchers independant restaurants should jump at the chance for guarenteed money. I would then make my own voucher.2020

That's a good idea. As well as your money supporting a local independent business they also get to retain 100% of the money. Gift card schemes in high st retailers must be run by a third party who take a cut then the retailer itself...I've no idea but I wouldn't be surprised if that took off 10-20% of the money. With 100% going to the business you've got a much better chance of negotiating a good price for a fixed price meal package.0
