    Hi,

another happy co op customer here :D. The staff are really helpful & you can transfer between accounts ( savings, isa etc) instantly. A year after I opened the accout I was told I could apply for the current account ( with OD & chequebook). I havent bothered because I dont need either facility.

The fact the co op is ethical was a big bonus for me too, I would definitely recommend them.

I would also recommend honesty too.

Ditto. I even managed to make a mess of my account in the first month and went overdrawn with no overdraft facility:eek:. But they were great, I just phoned and said I'd made a major bobo and they said that as long as I didn't make a habit of doing that, they would pay my direct debit this time. Thought was really good of them considering they didn't 'know' me.

Might be worth trying Barclays. They are BR friendly and will open a basic account even if you owed them money. My ex OH opened an account with them after his BR and he owed them and Barclaycard loads of money. Comes with Visa debit card but I don't think it has online banking.
Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)
