Tesco clubcard confusion

Hi, I've been reading about the tesco clubcard for a while and am a bit confused on some parts, firstly how many points = £1, I was thinking 100 points?, I went to their website and saw clubcard deals and their are some great offers I would love to get, like the top gear mag for one!.
The thing is, it says on their website "1 point for every £1 spent.", I dont spend much as i'm a student, I'm thinking it will take ages to get enough points for deals like the above.
if anyone can offer any tips/suggestions it would be much appreciated :)

Its one point for every pound spent, so if you spend £100 you get 100 points.
Each point is worth a penny.
In other words in cash terms its a penny in the pound discount.
Ifyou join some of the tesco clubs online, Food, Healthy Living etc, they will send you vouchers from time to time for extra points.
There are bound to be MSEers with other ideas. What about volunteering to do all the shopping for your friends and family?
Deals are worth four times the cash value of the points.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

    Thx again

When you grab a trolley look out for any stray receipts laying in them. They may not have had the Clubcard Points claimed. If there's a barcode at the end of the receipt take the receipt to CS and claim the points as your own.
Again, in the car park look for stray receipts on the ground. The same applies when buying fuel.
Just be aware that some CS bods don't like adding points on if your receipts are all showing the same date at the bottom. Keep the receipts and mix them datewise, and claim them next time your in Tesco.
I think they will add the points on providing the receipts are no older than a month.
    Hope this helps.

Is their a way to tell if the points have been claimed or not, dont want to look silly when CS replies saying they have already been claimed!.
Also is it ok to get CS to scan multiple receipts at once, if so how many at once can you do before its not a good idea.

    Thx again

Easy, there will be a big barcode along the bottom of the receipt, just baove the date, time etc. Just above the barcode, in bold writing, it says "Sign up for clubcard" - you could have earned # points in this transaction.

Your second question is a bit more difficult. It all depends how ballsy you are and the CS you are dealing with. I always make sure the date and times on the receipts aren't too close, prefarably not 2 from the same day. Usually make some excuse such as 'husband always forgets his card/won't use it'. Bear in mind the receipts can also be a bit 'grubby', depending upon where you found them :p , think about some creative excuses (in footwell of car, dropped in puddle, dog got it etc etc.) As to how many, I always have mine sorted out beforehand, min 2 max 4ish, if CS are friendly I'll give them the four. Some stores will only add on 2 at a time, others don't care.

I've never been questioned, just be confident and walk up and ask for these receipts to be added to your card. People do it all the time and CS never usually bat an eye. ;)
