Hi, ok so i'm going out of my mind with this, Me and my ex partner used to live together and a couple of years ago we bought double glazing with safestyle, the finance is with ge finance.
we split in march this year and the only thing left is this windows contract, i am stuck as my ex is refusing to pay thier half even though they have joint-signed a contract and recently they went onto a debt management , i have tried with ge finance and they are not willing to help,
i wanted to split the debt so we could pay it seperatly, ge won't take my ex's details and they are hounding me not my ex.
does anybody have any advice to help, this was a joint debt but it looks like i am stuck and can't do anything but i don't see why i should be left to sort this out
any help will be much appreciated
Thanks

The debt is probably "joint and several". From a practical point of view they will chase the person from whom they have the best chance of receiving the outstanding amount - presumably you. You in turn can chase the ex-partner for their half-share.
