the new ramada encore that has recently opened up in the city centre would be good, i am going there for my work christmas lunch, they are only recently open and are doing some good cheap deals on christmas lunch, im sure some people on here will have eaten there and be able to give a review, failing that you cant go wrong with tedfords, although quite expensive, or even nicks warehouse, although hard to find on hill street!!

I was at Beatrice Kenndey's on University Rd last year for our staff christmas lunch - it was the best christmas dinner I've ever had when eating out - we're going back again this year without hesitation. All dishes are made to order rather than just heated up and dried out like you get in a lot of places. You might need to book in advance though.

I second Beatrice Kennedy, also Metro is excellent.

The Merchant and Malmaison might have some lunch offers on atm too...
