Hi, does anyone use Lush's solid perfume? I want to know if they are value for money or not. £5 for a little tin seems quite expensive but they would make stocking fillers.
Also any recommendations on the best fragrance? The 'honey i washed the kids' smells nice in the shop but hard to tell because the whole shop is so smelly!!
Thank you

They do last a long time, so if you like the smell it's not too expensive.
Try it out on your skin, then go outside to smell it. I bought a pot of the karma fragrance because I love the smell of the soap, but for some reason when the perfume touches my skin it smells rank! Probably the closer to natural smells would smell better.:coffee:Coffee +3 Dexterity +3 Willpower -1 Ability to Sleep

Depends what kind of smells you like really...
HIWTK is very sweet, kind of tofeeish
Sakura is fresh and a bit powdery
Karma is spicy and warm, can be a bit heavy though
Vanillary... name says it all
Comforter is fruity, smells like blackcurrant sweeties
Snow Fairy is another sweet one but more sugary than HIWTK
The Olive Branch is very citrusy
At a fiver, they're definitely worth it... I used to have a Flying Fox temple balm from Lush which came in a tin like the solid perfumes and which I did use as a perfume, and it lasted ages!"A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
They last for ages! I've had mine for about a year and it prob is out of date but I'm still using it and hardly any is gone. I have the American cream, but I also love the honey I washed the kids. I think they are one of Lush's better value for money products IMO.

to echo the above, they last forever. I've got vanilliary and it's still going strong three months on. They keep their scent on you for a surprising length of time too for being cheapy perfume.0

The scent does last on you a long time, but after a few months there's a sharp scent coming from my solid perfume tin. Not liking it that much any more. There isn't the same problem with the temple balms though..0

I find the scent lasts about 4-6 hours on average. The best way to apply is to heat the tin first-either blow over a hair drier or leave in a pocket close to your body all day for the evening. I think you get to apply more this way and its much easier to apply this way. Note that the scent fades as you become used to it (as with any perfume) but thats not to say others can't detect it!0

Ok, thank you for all the replies. My mind is made up. I am getting 4 (3 as Christmas presents) and one for me!!
The tins are tiny so think it will be really handy to keep in pockets or purse, perfect for topping up fragance when out and about over the hols!
