Does anything particular make it 'Scouse'?

Not really, originally in the olden days,it was called lobscouse, and traditionally made with oysters from the Mersey ('cos they were free!)No oysters in the Mersey now so usually made with beef, although I do a lush lamb one too-and you can do a meatless one, known as "blind scouse" for veggies....

Don't know why avvie won't change, the new file shouldn't be any bigger than the old...and I've tried several..they all just freeze and say upload failed...

    Pooky, that sounds good.

Well, I need to phone mum, hope she's not too drunk, then I'm going to curl up with some chocs, baileys and a good book.

I'm finding the padded bra's keeping me quite warm, I might make it more of a regular thing!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Glad things are moving for you Pooky.

    Ice and a slice Becky?

Christmas cards about to be written. I have discovered that mine are small ones whereas Mum and Dad's are larger. Therefore mine will slip inside theirs and save me postage. How MSE am I? :D
It does unfortunately mean that I have to write them soon.

We don't do Christmas cards, I hate cards full stop, can't stand them up! Whenever anyone gets cards in this house they sit in a pile on the breadbin for a week before I throw them all out into the recycle bin

Step away from the gift!!!! Show some restraint woman!

When I was having my nails done yesterday a woman dashed in and said she wanted something for her Mum, she was immediately offered a Nails Inc loyalty card for £110 and she said yeah, that'll do

I felt quite annoyed that anyone would be happy to spend that much money on a totally thoughtless gift just for the sake of it!
