large king prawns buy 1 get 2 free @ morrisons

Hi starting from tomorrow (mon 7 Dec) morrisons are running a buy 1 get 2 free promotion on there own large king prawns 165g priced at £3.99, there is a limit of 6 per customer

unfortunately that finished at close of buisness today, but you never know, if stores have still got stacks of them left, they may extend it.

oh noooooooo!!!!! Wanted to go today but was too long in debenhams and marks - by the time we would have got to morrisons it would have been closed - boo hoo - oh well ta anyway hun

I'm guessing they will extend the offer- the school I work at has ordered 24 boxes to be picked up Monday lunchtime- ready for Xmas performances and the school fayre. We checked we'd still be getting them on the offer (and we know it's supposed to be limited to 6 boxes per customer, but thought there was no harm in trying to get all 24 in one go!!)

Beware, this offer might not be as good as it first looks. Today I got 340g packs of Young's king prawns out of Asda for £2 each. 165g seems like quite a small amount. I've not done the maths, so forgive me if I'm wrong!

Ooh. eklynne, I was about to post the same thing - I bought 200g of TTD King Prawns from Sainsbury's for £2. Ok so the Morrisons deal is slightly better @ 495g for £3.99 rather than 400g for £4, but if you only really want one pack Sainsbury's is cheaper too.
Oh and IIRC Tesco has a similarly priced deal for 200g.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but just wanted to point out that £3.99 for 165g of king prawns is very expensive compared to the other supermarkets.

probably to make some money, or they might as well give them away

Check the label too. If they are like the fresh ones they shouldn't be frozen again.
