Hi
I'm considering buying a digital camera for my four year old daughter.
I've been looking at the Fisher Price and Vtech one's but I know there are quite a few makes.
Has anyone got any advice as to which ones are good and which ones to avoid ?
Thanks

Bought my two the vtech ones last christmas - they love them, school are that impressed with them they have bought three for the reception class and they love them.
Dont know if you have used them or not - dont expect fantastic pictures inside the house - after all the pixel is very low with them all but they are not bad but they really come into their own where there is plenty of natural light - they can adjust photos - put faces onto people - curtains onto a picture - all sorts - there are games for them to play too and they even do video - fab toy0 -
the fisherprice one is really easy to work and is higher in pixels but no games. As far as i could find that is the only real difference.0

our son got one of these last year and he plays with it but we didnt think it that good and havent printed any pictures off it. Daughter when she was 4 we got her a Nikon reduced to £40 in argos hundreds and hundred of photos later its still going strong after 3 years. Our Son who is now 4 is using our old digital camera as long as they have the strap on their wrist they are fine.
just saw this, you can now get a lego camera

After looking at the kiddy cameras I decided to get a cheap(ish) one from argos and get the 3 yr high risk warranty s if it does get broken it will get replaced.
I went for this one http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5592960/Trail/searchtext%3ECAMERA+HITACHI.htm
as it doesn't have an in/out lens mechanism (the technical term
), which is the first thing to break if it gets dropped 0 -
\My vote goes to "Fisher Price"0

Yep my vote is for the Fisher Price Kid Tough. You can get the blue one at Amazon for £37.49 atm but for some reason the pink version is £2 dearer.

the fisher price one seems better to me, looking at them too0

My daughter has the Fisher Price one. The pics aren't great but in the right light it produces pics that make reasonable prints. You can add a memory card too and you don't lose the pics if the batteries go flat like some. My 2 1/2 year old manages to take good pics with it so it must be easy and robust!0

Apparently Home Bargains have got kids cameras for £10 so my sister tells me who is in Yorkshire
Don't know where else they are based though!0
