There are also M&S outlet stores at Lewisham & Woolwich in SE London.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

There's an M&S outlet store in the Swindon Outlet centre. It's not massive but they do tend to have a lot of 'old' stock there. Tbh though, most of the time it's full of the cheap tat that they seem to bring out for every 'sale' - not sure you'd find any real bargains or anything that was likley to have sold out in store.

sometimes you can get lucky on ebay.
  • M&S Outlet's at Clarks Village in Street too. I bought some out-of-date cookies there once. And a teapot.
  • There is an 'outlet' at GunWharf Quays in Portsmouth, but to be honest its still quite expensive for a clearance shop I think!!!!

You probably will not find the item at an Outlet store as I'm sure they only buy items that there is a lot of surplus stock of. (They need to buy enough to stock it at all of their Outlet stores for a season).

Most stock if it does not sell out would have been reduced in the end of season M&S sale on the high st/online. Try ebay?
  • There are M&S Outlets at The Forge in Glasgow, Livingston designer Outlet, Gretna Green and Tillicoutry in Scotland.

I don't think they get all of the excess stock in the Outlets, I've no idea where else it might go.

I quite like the outlets for clothes for myself, their Per Una jeans are a good deal cheaper than normal stores and the only ones that fit me properly. The only thing about my local M&S Outlet is they don't seem to stock kids clothes anymore, a real shame, I used to get some lovely stuff for my kids in there.

Thanks for your replies guys, looked in 2 of the outlet stores and couldn't find it...to be honest I didn't recognise any of the stock they had in there, looks like it's just cheap rubbish made especially for the Outlet store (a bit like Next SP stuff).

Nevermind, ebay will be the next stop!!

There's an Outlet Store at Gretna Gateway too!
  • Many years ago (probably about 12 lol) there used to be a large stall on York market that sold M&S old stock with the labels cut out, maybe it's still there.
Also there was a shop on High Petergate called Just a Second that sold seconds and overmakes from various chainstores. Again, I don't know if it's still there as it's years since I've visited York.
