I am getting Married in March 2010 Stockport / Manchester.
I am on the hunt for some entertainment. Maybe a band, a singer, a comedian, a magician, a hypnotist ? Open to suggestions to be honest.
Thank you:j0 -
Try goin to the wedding and anniversaries board, You will be inundated with help especially if you try to keep all your questions in one thread rather than filling up the forums with seperate ones.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

I went to one wedding and it had a caricature artist there who did quick framed drawing of the guests to take home with you and it was really good and different

Hello EDDIE-BEEF
It isn't necessary to create separate threads for your wedding requirements and it creates work for the board guides who have to merge them together, before they are moved.
I'll move this merged thread to the 'Weddings & Anniversaries' board, where it will get more views and responses.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

Hi Eddie - welcome to the wedding and anniversary thread.
Have a read through the threads at the top of the board for lots of tips on how to have an mse wedding. I'm sure there will be other people along who have knowledge of Manchester, but do you need 2 photographers (if you do, some work in pairs which I presume would work out cheaper than if you booked 2 seperately) also have you thought about decorating the venue yourselves as this could work out a fair bit cheeper than having a venue decorator?"Normal is not something to aspire to - it is something to get away from" - Jodie Foster0 -
Sorry, I can't be any help at all but am interested in why you are having two photographers?0

Hi Eddie,
I have replied on your other thread but will also post here - we used Avid Photography who are based near you and couldn't recommend them highly enough. The images are excellent and their wedding package starts at £360.
I hope you use them, you won't be disappointed!

You will find that alot of photographers have "assistants" who will accompany them on the day. Mine uses her husband - they have both been doing it for 8years now so hubby has learnt along the way! He isn't as "good" as his missus but he is there to capture different shots at reception etc and as you said, so someone can get shots of bride getting ready AND nervous groom arriving at church! You almost certainly will not need TWO seperate photographers, as i said, ALOT of photographers now have an assistant - bearing in mind that a photographer can charge anything from £350 for a few hours up to £3000 for a few hours, you certainly wouldn't want to pay that twice over!!! So find the photographers you like in your area (google? thats what i did!) and then contact them askng if they have an asst. etc
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0
