    Just wondering why has he been refused a basic bank account? you say you have the usual debts, but what do you mean?

    Is he on the electoral roll?

    Hi There,

    Im in quite a bad situ and the Abbey were really really good, they opened a basic account really fast and I to have a bad credit file. They allow internet banking, cash card, direct debits etc etc....

    Phone them up (ro get hubby to) and find out why.

    there may be something lurking on your credit reference file you dont know about? Or some fraus or mix up with someone with the same name ( it happens) Dig around
