BR and need to get a BT line!

We both went BR in March and are about to move into a different rental property (am expecting baby number 2) and we really need to get a BT line, we haven't had one here - we can't find anywhere that tells us if we will be allowed by BT to get a phone line, as obv not going to pass credit check - any advice/experiences greatly appreciated!

I didn't think we would pass the credit check either. I certainly didn't online as the 'system' said I had to pay hundreds up front. I called BT and basically because I had never owed them money I passed 'their' check. I obviously can't quarentee that this is their policy but it's what happened to me, I pay by direct debit every month like any other customer.
