You would think a big company like Boots would know this offer was going to be extremely popular and would make sure their system could cope with the demand. You'd also think they'd have plenty in stock, after all this offer is supposed to last a week and they've sold out by lunchtime on the first day!

After several unsuccessful attempts on the net, I telephoned my second local branch, Watford Waterfields, and asked if they would hold a box for me till lunchtime, as I had to go somewher first. The staff member, possibly manager, said it would not be necessary, they had over 200.

In the meantime, having spent lots of money buying my son a suit, shirt and tie, belt and a couple of other things, I walked into the Boots in Whetstone, N20, and they had the hat boxes. It really is massive.

got 2 this morning at Aintree - was dreadful though, never seen anything like it! they were queuing outside and when the door opened it was like a stampede! people were acting like animals - quite literally knocking people over and pushing and shoving. they had got 800 delivered the manager told me but will probably have sold out as people were getting 10 each!!!

anyone in warrington will be fine - they had loads at 11am - no crowds, pushing or shoving!!!

I guess they sold out online as people can't get to Boots because of the snow. I ordered 3 as I use their products and this will keep me going for two years, but am wondering whether to go into Watford to get another one, just in case they don't fulfil my order or something. I can't see there would be any reason if we ordered it online that we wouldn't get our order?
Anyone been to watford in the Harlequin Centre as Waterfields is pain in the bottom to walk to.

Since Boots.com was down, i went out at about 10.30 to local boots. There was only a few hatbox left ont he shelf, and sa told me they ahd 200 hatbox and they are all out on the shop floor.
I got two, and bought other little bits, used my double coupon, 400points for 45spend, 300points for 30 from ap machine. Im happy customer. Thank you to OP

cant get onto boots site now. it says its a holding page while they refresh their offers?. its too late for me for the hat box online now anyway and they wont have any in my little store!! nevermind

Thanks, got the last box from retail park in Telford at dinner time, SA said there was a que this morning and all staff members got 1 too so was pretty lucky, oh and appologies to the elderly couple that was just about to eye it up before i grabed it
