Sizing rib of beef for Christmas Dinner

Hi,

What weight per person should I buy when on the bone? There will be three of us with big appetites. Will be served with usual Christmas trimmings.

    I'm envious...my lot want turkey and more turkey! :D

    If you're buying it with the bone in I would plan for at least 1lb per person. If as you say everyone has big appetites I would go for at least 4lb. Better that there are leftovers rather than not enough. If in doubt ask your butcher's advice

    When we buy it we buy 1 rib and thats enough for 2 greedy :o adults 2 kids and left overs usually costs about £11.00
