Success Story - Endowment Complaint - Now Debt Free

After reading Martins news letter regarding endowment compensation, I thought I would chance it and complain, I truly thought I would not be entitled to anything as the endownment was sold years earlier, but to my utter surprise this morning I have received a letter from Standard Life offering me compensation of £6082.83.
This will enable me to be become debt free for the first time since the age of eighteen (many years ago).
I would encourage anyone to submit a complaint, I didn't even fill in the forms Standard Life sent to me as I had no information on my policies as I had sold them, they based the compensation on assumptions, I am very very happy this morning, this has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders.
I must admit though I feel rather guilty that my debt has been wiped out because of the endowment claim, and I read the likes of James, Southern Scouser and many other doing it the difficult way, I wish I could wave a wand to all you MSE's DFW who are in debt, I was in debt by £15,000 intially when I found this site, but I cut back, took the advice of MSE, read the MSE DFW board everyday and you lot inspired me to get my hand out of the sand and wake up. I will keep reading everyday so I don't slip back into my old ways and I wish each and everyone of you the best in clearing your debts.
Thank you to Martin and all at MSE for such great advice.

So will you get any change to treat yourself to anything? Or are you going to be v MSE and save any change youve got!! THIS IS GREAT NEWS!!!
:j :j:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Just a wee bit of change left over, £2.59 to be precise. I will be putting it towards my phone bill as I phone my husband at work to tell him the good news. Very boring I know but very MSE!
To be honest I don't need to treat myself to anything, I have anything I could possibly need now - peace of mind! and that's priceless!0 -

Don't feel guilty about your debt being wiped out, you should feel proud of yourself for taking the steps necessary to claim the compensation & succeeding!
