    Hi there ranger

Well all looks ok from me, but I would say that surely NTl are doing that 3 for 30 quid thing with phone, tv internet? That might help?

Due to your divorce are you going to have to pay maintainence, how is this worked out?

Is your lodger paying towards elec/gas/water and council tax ? if not then that rent is very cheap. I guess you cant ask them now to contribute but if you get another one or renegotiate your terms you will want to take this into consideration. As regards your ntl broadband it might be worth ringing and see if you can get a reduction. Ring up and say you are lookng to move your connection as it seems a bit steep for your usage. They will then put you onto cancellations who have more power to give you a better deal. If they are still willign to go through a cancellation then just say someone has turned up at door and can youring back later to cancel and make it clear you havenmt cancelled just yet. I tried this when i had ntl and they gave me three months half price.

Also you say the surplus is for food etc. 221 is a lot for food and if you are cooking for just you, then you could be doing this for 80 a month. thus you have an extra surplus for 141 for clothes etc, and to throw at your debts :)

Don't know yet was only married 13 months, might loose house and pension who knows depends on the judge on the day.

No all in, I was v.silly was'nt I. But it all helps and there is someone to talk to without having to goto the pub.

May consider taking the ntl tv back on as not saving much by not having it. maybe.

    Thanks so far

That Approx £4 per day spends, I'll Have to work on my will power beyond that. I'm not really a clothes person but its a good point as don't want to have to go round naked.

Paying only £25 on CC as savings at a higher % rate that already covers this will pay off when matures at christmas.

You werent silly its just you learn these things when you get a lodger. I rent a room from my best mate as it convenient for me and i get an all in deal but its a bit more than you charge. One thing we do tend to work out though is we share main meals. This keeps food costs right down as we tend to use the slow cooker or cook big curries, casseroles, chilis etc. Have a word with your lodger see what they say you can share the cost of your main food bill by making these things in bulk. Yes it is good to have someone to talk through when you been going through bad times
