Mortgage Endowment - Compensation

After reading Martins news letter regarding endowment compensation, I thought I would chance it and complain, I truly thought I would not be entitled to anything as the endownment was sold years earlier, but to my utter surprise this morning I have received a letter from Standard Life offering me compensation of £6082.83. :T

This will enable me to be become debt free for the first time since the age of eighteen (many years ago).

I would encourage anyone to submit a complaint, I didn't even fill in the forms Standard Life sent to me as I had no information on my policies as I had sold them, they based the compensation on assumptions, I am very very happy this morning, this has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders.

Thank you to Martin and all at MSE for such great advice.
