Lost loan

Hi all
My other half is in a bit of a tricky position with regards to a loan he took out.
The initial loan was taken out in 2007 with Virgin money who also dealt with his credit card, he was later informed that the loan had been moved and was now being dealt with by MBNA as had his credit card. Since then we have moved house and my other half can't find any of his paperwork relating to this loan to contact them and change our address.
We now want to contact the company regarding the loan as we have some queries on it but we don't really know how to go about it as A) Our address is wrong and
we have no paperwork stating an account number etc. Are we likely to struggle getting information from MBNA?
I have told my other half off for not keeping his paperwork but I'm hoping there is a way around it, after all they are still taking the money and I'm sure if he stopped paying they would track him down.
Any help would be grately appreciated
Thanks

Does your bank statement not show the reference number of the loan when a payment is made? they usually do, otherwise just contact them and use your previous details to confirm identity etc.0
