Thank you all for your advise. I know the interest is HUGE but as Morgan says I just want to get it paid off asap & never do it again!! I work 50+ hours a week (in a job I love!) in the hope of being debt free by August 2010. This is just a minor hiccup....I hope!
I will call them this morning & see what they say. I shall let let you know what they say. Thanks again!

If you bounce a DD with welcome you will incur a £25 fee, then £10 for a call to you to follow up the bounce - if the DD is in process, welcome will not be able to stop it been called for and you will still incur a fee - call them today, let them know the dd will bounce and tell them what day the payment will be replaced, then pay it on the day you state - that way the only fee you will incur is the bounced £25 fee, if you call them there is no call for phone calls but if they phone you regarding the bounce - £10, if you dont pay on the agreed date and they have to call you then its another £10

Well I've been trying to ring them for just over 30 mins. Both the local and national rate number are either engaged or doesn't even ring. I have canceled the dd with my bank so it may be that I will have to be charged the extra by welcome...annoying but not the end of the world. I will keep trying but I doubt I'll have much luck.
Thank u all for your help.
