Yes, the girl from Manpower said everyone HAD reacted the same as I did, and she hated doing the phoning! And I wasn't blaming her, just expressing my disgust at such a c0ck up...which she entirely agreed with!
And No dmg24....I wouldn't want them to "give me a job" ....If this is how DWP operates, I wouldn't want to work for such an incompetent outfit!!
It would have done as a stop gap...that's all!

Actually, I'm enjoying not working....getting lots of additional qualifications (free) which I'd never have had the chance to get if I was working!

By the way....as I said before..dmg24.....I take it you DO work for DWP??:rotfl:
I will stop posting on this subject now, as obviously it's bringing out all the DWP jobsworths with their very "public sector" views on "competence"!

No, I do not work for the DWP. I'm just a little more realistic than you.

Clearly we are not all as perfect as you. Then again, if you are as perfect as you imply, why do you not have a job?

To be fair if your on the dole and the total of your weekly work is filling in a few forms incompetently so you still get your cash you probably won't have a clue about the real world.

So you are moaning that you don't have a job, because you don't need one?

    You seem a little confused!

Oh dmg please stop posting on this thread or at least try to read the thread properly! Nowhere in any of my posts have I "moaned" that I didn't have a job!
I said I'd been unemployed for a year....I was made redundant after 13 years at my last job...ok?!
No, I don't need a job ...but if something I think would be "interesting", and different from my usual field crops up, (eg. EO at JC+)...... I may apply...is that ok with you???

I'm certainly not confused, just getting bored and (like the rest of my family members who are reading these posts,) rather amused by your attempts to turn this into some sort of childish down-putting!

You aren't moaning that you haven't got a job; just going to write to your MP about a simple clerical error? A sense of perspective is needed here.

dmg can post on any thread she wants, as this is an open forum.

Be careful, you'll be accused of being a DWP employee, a troll and/ or banned from posting on Vancat's thread! ;)

The more I read, the more Vancat demonstrates how they are exactly the kind of employee the DWP does not need.

Hi, i'm very sorry to hear about what happend... and for you and the other 69 it must be terrible. As an AO (who has just applied for an EO role) within the JCP i can see why people call the DWP incompetent, there have been majorly stupid errors within the department which have effected people, but people need to remember that the DWP and JC is majorly stretched at the moment and that is when mistakes happen. This should never of happend and im not defending the person who did this for one minute, it annoys me because i try really hard to help people etc and then we all get tarnished with the "useless/imcomptent" brush when someone makes a mistake.

<scratches head> This is a feeble* attempt at humour, a sarcastic p-take, is it not? It is difficult to tell. Congratulations, you fooled me for a moment.

If it is genuine, "omfg!!!", as the youngsters would say.

(* Not that I am in any position to cast stones at the feebleness of another's humour.)
