the l'oreal sublime range is really good - its quite pricey compared to some but again a little goes a long way. the spray is easy to use but imo the gel gives better results

Thanks for that, do I take it you have used both? How does the gel give better results?

    Thanks

yeah have used them both - think have been through every type of fake tan ever lol! the gel seems to be more even coverage as long as you are quite thourough with the rubbing in when you apply.
best place i've found to buy it is bodycare if you have one of those locally?
usually about £7 rather than the £9 ish everywhere else

I like mine to show as soon as it's put on (brown from the bottle) as it might streak later and it will be too late.

It's no wonder the country is in debt!

Try laboratoire-PG Tips teabags. Apply dry to exfoliate. Add freshly filtered aqua (boiled over a scented candle made from the finest Peruvian earwax), have a cuppa, then apply moist for the ultimate tan. Place emtpy bags in the composter, along with shredded copies of Marie Clare and Hello pictures of David Beckham posing in front of someone elses fireplace.

After night out, cleanse skin with left over Doner kebab meat.

Place money saved in a high interest account to be used for emergency impulse purchases, such as breast enlargment, piercings, rejuvinating creams and gels, chemical peels, botox injections, bottled aqua, Sezer's autobiography, and tattoos in the middle of the back

I was Johnsons holiday skin's biggest fan until I tried the L'Oreal version instead. It's a much better bronze colour on my very pale skin and dries more evenly. It is dearer but it was on BOGOF and I get a nice colour after 2 applications. I needed about 4 of the Johsons before I got a good colour.

    Hi,

I always use Fake Bake..it never goes orange on me..just a lovely brown..looks like a proper tan. Im happy with it and a bottle goes a long way as the cream is quite thick so u only need a little bit at a time.

    Helen x

Ditto. It's the best for a real browny colour. Don't think that loads of multiple applications make you go brown, they can only achieve a certain level. Top up every couple of days, but not every day or you will look silly.
It's not cheap, but like everything else, you get what you pay for. You want to look tan? Fake bake makes you look tan. No, I don't work for them, but please don't forget to slather the moisturiser lotion on elbows, knees and ankles prior to sloshing the fake bake on. It's that or paying even more for the stuff to get it off with.

Stop wasting money on fake tan then..who cares if you have a line on your arm, men don't.. just put a leather Motorhead jacket on.

It wasn't all aimed at you, I was just taking the P out of the whole thread ... the things girls (and the odd man) do to look good...

    Time to duck.
