Energy Price Cap announcement: Watch Martin Lewis explain what it means for your electricity and gas bills this winter
Hi

I ordered some ugg boots from uggsale.com.au last Thursday. However, when trying to check the status of my order the website changed to ugg.uk.com.au and I was unsuccessful in tracking my order.

Help! Has anyone else used these websites? Am particularly concerned due to the news articles today on fraudulent websites.

Kind Regards

Hi There,
Have just heard on the news that hundres of websites with .co.uk addresses, have been linked to a scam originating in Asia.
If you paid by credit card I would start asking for your money back because quite frankly you are not going to see your Ugg boots, and anyway if it's any consolation, the Ugg boots should really be called Ugh boots, thay are cheap immitations, be glad you got your money back.
Remember " If it seems too good to be true, it probably is" then you won't go far wrong.
Peter.
• ordered 3 pairs off ugg boots from ugg. uk.com on thursday. The website looked truly genuine, authentic pictures, menus etc however it now seems this is one of the scam sites as i'm now unable to get onto it. I paid through paypal so was hoping this would be a consolation to getting money back, however when i've checked my reference with them, its not recognised. So it seems the paypal confirmation email i received was also a scam/fake. Unfortuntely i paid via my debit card & having spoken with my bank the money has cleared. I'm in the process of trying to get this back. Has anyone else used this site ? or paid via debit card & if so were you able to get your money back?
• i ordered mine from ugg.uk.com or ugg.gg which i used to be. I paid by paypal and i rung them and i have to wait 7 days to raise a dispute to get my money back. it should have lead you to the paypal site, it did with me, give paypal a ring and Check they were really good with me and said that they are getting thousands of phone calls about ugg boots!

i hope you manage to get your money back x
• Is there any chance getting your money back if you have paid with a debit card? We didn't use paypal! Am really annoyed as my boots were my Christmas present and if we don't get the money back I'll be having a satsuma! What is being done to shut these sites down? It is quite obvious that the uggsale went on to be ugg.gg and now ugg.uk.com and they are the same!
• to be quite honest no its not noticable unless you keep your eye on the bar with the address in at the top. if you contact your bank they will look into it for you as fraud. i rung barclays and they said they could not reverse the transaction but could pass it to the fraud department for investigation. i dont know how long it takes prob wont get it back before xmas unless they pull their fingers out.

i sould hopefully get my money into my paypal account on the 22nd but not in my bank acount so im not going to be getting mine for christmas either.

so many people have been sucked in and its not fair. the police and trading standards are looking into it. if you click on terms and conditions or some of the other links that were on the website it directed you to the real ugg wesite, but you could not tell the difference because they had stolen all the pictures and the websites looked identical!
• ive been looking round all the pages that i copied when i did my order and found an email address of [email protected] i emailed them and they emailed me straight back with a tracking number for EMS maybe you could try emailing them. I am still going to riase a dispute when they arrive because they will no doubt be fake. but at least someone responded to me which was a suprise.
• Brill! Thanks... I'll try the same - keep me posted!

Hi, We also ordered some boots from the same website, however when you type the address in, it was ugg sale . com / au (without spaces obviously) but changes to .au when the page loads. There was no information on shipping times/delivery, and when we checked to see when they would arrive, you need a login username and password which we hadn't created. My boyfriend rang a number from the website which was in america, the guy on the phone said that they must not have sent us the email which contains the username and login details in, he sent a message to the manufacturers which said we needed a tracking code, we still havent recieved the 'tracking code' and have no idea on delivery times/dates, and now cant even get back onto the website.. slightly concerned now as money has also come out of his account and was paid by debit card too.
