Want To Be Debt Free

Hi

Can someone please give me some advise. I have a personal debt of £30000.00 and am not currently working ( on incapacity). My wife works full time and is on 20000.00 a year. I have no asset's and house is in her name ( transferred it over last year). I don't worry about going Bankcrupt but do not know if they will bother my wife or the house or her saving's(in her name). Can they legally demand money from her cuz we are married and live in the same house. I have considered all other options and this whole thing is also having an impact on our marriage.I really thankyou very much from the bottom of my heart in advance and I would not know where will i be without this site. So Thankyou again to everyone.

Please Advise.

Thankyou

during the bankruptcy process, your financial transaction over the last year or so will be reviewed ...particularly the house....it will almostly certainly be deemed that you own half the house and hence half the equity.
if there is equity in the house you will either have to sell the house or your wife/parent/friend will have to buy your share of the equity.

no advice I'm afraid as I don't know about this. Just wanted to send you more hugs - you are far from alone. I'm sure some people will be along really soon who will provide loads of actual help but you are far from alone and there is loads of support here. All the best.
