LG 500 mobile at Tesco

in It's gone, but was it any good?
Just collected my LG500 mobile phone (pink) at Tesco. Bought online with free store collection. Paid £59.99 + 1000pts = 1119pts = £44 in deals, making the phone just over £15!!!:T

    I phoned Tesco mobile about unlocking my mobile phone last week. They told me that once I've had the phone for 3 months and spent at least £25 on top ups I can get a code from Tesco Mobile to unlock the phone. It takes around 28 days and you can get this either on a phone call back or by e-mail.

    Many of the phones can be unlocked using codes on the Mobiles board. There are some for approx £40 with the 1000 points.

    No codes used?

    No cashback either?

    They sent me an email to unlock my phone.Straight forward and you should get it around 14 days time.

    So I would have to wait 3 months + use £30 credit for them to unlock it for free?

    Thanks, got one for DS Xmas pressie.
    I use Tesco sim because it give free credits and is not as complicate as other phone provider.

    I have been told that tescos uses o2 network = does that mean you can use o2 sim????
