I thought people would like to show others how their efforts turned out by posting a photograph here. So I am starting it off with my latest creation. http://yfrog.com/6e2009120510002j
I made this delicious crusty tasty creation to day. Though I say it myself I think it looks great.
We ate it today for lunch with a nice mature cheddar, thought I was back on the Algarve. Absolutely marvellous.0 -

I've just tried making this, I made the dough yesterday and came home from work to find a very wet, very sticky dough which is impossible to fold like on the video!
I've got a set of American cups too so I don't think anything has been lost in translation... I've put it back in the bowl next to the radiator to see if that helps. Has this worked perfectly for everyone else who has tried it?
**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

I too found that this recipe makes a very, very wet dough and in subsequent mixes I have used less water.
Don't worry too much about folding it as per the instructions, just plop it out onto a very well floured cloth, I used semolina, dust all over again with semolina, leave it to rise.
When you come to bake the loaf and you want to put the dough into the cooking bowl just pour/plop it in as best you can as it doesn't matter how it goes in as long as it does. The results will be fine.0 -
I made this over the weekend - put it in the bowl on Saturday night before bed, ended up leaving it all day Sunday (in our FREEZING house) and cooking it after I`d taken out the roast chicken at about 7pm on Sunday evening. It was a little bit squelchy to look at, and when I tipped into my dutch oven (aka Le Creuset cast iron casserole dish) it did sort of end up all over the place. Cooked as indicated and it was FAB and still rose very evenly. We sprinkled a mixture of polenta and sesame seeds on the tea towel and that gave it a lovely flavour. Will definitely be making this on a regular basis - very like pain rustique and also makes fantastic toast. :T Thanks for pointing out this video.0
