hi all - bad day :( Heavily rear ended earlier by a stupid old lady who just didn't stop (with Charlie in the car - thank god he is ok). Car foo-barr'd :( Just spoken to a doctor at my surgery who is going to come round with a prescription as I'm steadily getting stiffer and lots of pain down all right hand side of my body and across my stomach just below my rib cage. Mum and Dad dropped me at work before they headed back north but I had to walk back home in the rain without a brolly. Can't even have any alcohol as don't have any until OH gets back with some, I've asked if he will buy me some :( lnsurance company have already said it will be a straight write off due to it being P reg. All the bumper is smashed, boot lid knackered and part of the side panel. Bumper hit so hard it got pushed into the back tyre :( It's outside my house waiting for the salvage company. I want to cry.

At least I know now what it's like to be part of a 3 police car situation and to be breathalysed .........and the woman didn't even apologise. She hardly seemed to care:mad:. Police told me they are referring her for an eye test due to her age. She had little damage bizarrely but I will be looking for a new car. :(

    bollocks.

I'll keep a receipt for the prescriptions and claim them back. Haven't had any time off work and hopefully won't need to . I had the morning off to take Charlie to the park and for my mum and dad to see him before they went home. That didn't quite happen

I spent 1 hour and 1 minute on the phone to the insurance company (!) including being put through to the car hire place - so much waffle they had to read to me plus a taped list of terms and also a conference call with the DVLA!

Replacement hire car will be here between 10 and 11 tomorrow morning - a Citroen C4

BB, really sorry to hear that, I hope you get better soon.

    I love C4's, mine's a C3.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

yeah, the Citroen. I didn't mind what they gave me as long as it was an automatic and was safe and reliable. You know what I'm like with my fear of driving - i've already had a minor panic about the auto gear box because it looks a bit fancy pants :o

The doctor I spoke to on the phone has just popped by with the prescription, very grateful to him. Will ask OH if he will pop to chemist for me in the morning, not sure how he will react but he'll just have to put himself out for me.
