Friday 4th December - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Morning All,
Thought I’d start the thread again this morning……..hope no-one minds
Hugs to those that need them and welcome to newbies!
Today I have/will:
· Checked online banking – payday so moved pennies to a savings account and bill money to ‘bills’ account
· Enter comps online
· Daily scratches
· Meals from storecupboards
· Have a NSD – 3/15
· Move coins from my purse into my sealed pot
· Read more of my library book
· Washing on 30
· Work really hard at work
· Will try to start work as soon as I get there as I need the overtime
· Catch up on the forum as I can’t comment on any posts when I am at work
· Pop to the library in town after work to see what sewing books they have
· Fingers crossed that I win Euromillions tonight
· Have an early-ish night..for some unknown reason I am really tired
Think that is about it but I am sure there is more to do, take care everyone

Hi All!! Thanks for starting the tread Candy - and your note about going to the library after work for books on sewing has planted a seed - I have just started sewing again and need a bit of guidance and I have looked at a few books and magazines, but, but them all back on the shelves as being MSE. May go to library over weekend or at least on Monday to have a browse.
Today I have/will:
Checked banking
No tea required tonight as DH & I are out to dinner and stay at hotel with friends. Paid for long time ago, so seems like a cheap night as only drinks for DH to buy (i'll be on water  due to pg)
Hair cut (in budget and have stretched it to 14 weeks - normally 8, so much needed !!)
Decide which outfit to wear tonight, I have bought 2 tops but left tags on both - I'm favouring the cheaper one I got with 20% of yesterday in Dotty P's - which would mean I would take the other one back on sat for a refund.
Lunch from stores.
Thats about it folks... have a great day everyone and enjoy your weekend, I have a busy one and as DH is off for the first time in forever, I might not get much time to post until Monday0 -
late for me
Meeting
Walk dog
Charge phone
Checked banks
Use up food in house
List some new *watched* dvds on amazon or ebay or something
Look at what i can get for my 4.50 clubcards (18 quid in deals should get something.....)
Fire on later need boys to get in more wood
Work hard meeting later - arghTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
Hey guys
Today I:- am going to put the washing on at 30 degrees
- keep the heating off
- go to the cinema again and use my monthly card
- am going to try to have a NSD
- have checked online banking and a standing order has 'been returned' to me. Not sure why that has happened as there was money in my account and I have the correct payee details... odd!
- ... and maybe have a little snooze before I start on these jobs!!!
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0
