Dept Store Working Hours With No Break

I suppose I am "lucky" I have never worked anywhere where going to the loo is a priveledge? I have always been more motivated to work hard if the people I work for treat me like a human and not a machine. I often work long hours and rarely stop for lunch but I can go to the loo or have a brew when I want to.0

The law is; that you are allowed a 20 mins break after 6 hours.
How you ask for/negotiate/demand loo breaks inbetween is up to you. If you rant and rave then it might well get the bosses back up; asking nicely always helps.0 -
I work in a supermarket and we have a 15min break (paid) If you are working 4hours0

I've just started at M&S working nights for 4 hours. We don't get a break and I find it really hard to go without water. I am used to drinking frequently and we're not allowed to take a bottle of water on the floor with us.0

If you feel you "need" the water I would certainly enquire about finding a way to get some.

Start eating lots of chocolate and sugar etc. and eventually become a type 2 diabetes sufferer, then you can take a break every 2 hours or so. Alternatively, get another job, or, become a professional skiver.Success and failure is determined by effort.0
