Hi all,
Many moons ago, I went for a weekend to the lovely Stapleford Park (the weekend was a present from friends) and before dinner, when we were enjoying our drinks (oh! the memories!!!) we were offered some guinness and stilton pat! with some lovely crunchie black super-thin biscuits.
I was wondering if anyone had made or come across these biscuits? I have googled but no luck at all. They were fairly earthy tasting and dry - almost oaty in texture. They were cut into small bit size pieces and were a perfect accompaniment.
I am having some friends over for a Murder Mystery evening on NYE and want to offer some vegetarian hors deuvres and know no one will have tried this out before (plus its a great way of using up the leftover Christmas stilton!;)).
I have found a recipe or two for the pat! but not the biscuits. Any ideas what could be the flour or main ingredient? I am not a big one for baking so am appealing to you baking experts out there!!!
Thanks
