ETA: i've just had the same email!!! grrrrrrrrr, I really wanted those books :-( and just checked, and they are still available to buy??? do you think it has something to do with getting free delivery on them when we shouldn't have??

Which books were you trying to buy? - seems odd they are still in stock

Don't think it's the free delivery - I've had numerous probs with book orders from Tesco - the last one I ordered back in October finally got cancelled last week after 2 months of waiting! :mad:

Try instore, saw all the booksets available in York store today for £5.

I put in 2 orders. One has been cancelled and the other dispatched. Why they haven't adjusted their site is beyond me. There's going to be a lot of disappointed people.

I don't know scotkat. I found the offer impossible to find on their site without the help of the URL to cut and paste from here so maybe they had kind of withdrawn the offer due to limited supply but I cheated and managed to order them IYSWIM

It was the Julia Donaldson set. I ended up calling Tesco and the woman didn't really have a clue - said it could be my card (which I know is wrong as it's working fine!) or that the stock levels weren't up to date. The book set is still available but says it won't be delivered until Jan 2010
