First off, sorry if this is the wrong sub-forum to post to, but I couldn't find anywhere more relevant.
I just wanted you to be aware of aFirefox add-on I found a few months back called 'The Invisible Hand', and basically what it does is alert you of where to find the item you are looking at for the least amount of money, e.g. you are on Amazon looking at a book, if the add-on finds another website offering it cheapest, a little bar will appear and alert you of the cheapest price, and where it can be found. Both the add-on and Firefox are free, and I am in no way affiliated with either!
Hope it helps anyone, I've certainly saved a few quid using it. I can't post URLs because I'm new, but just google "firefox add-on invisible hand" and it should be the top result...

As iforwms said, The Invisible Hand is a relatively new tool for automatically finding the best price for products on the internet.
I heard about it in an email from Uswitch talking about their new tool for comparing prices. I've tried it out and it looks good. It's fully real-time so whilst your browsing shopping sites, it pops up and tells you where you can get it cheaper.
It works for many types of products and many retailers, they will never manage to add all retailers so don't treat it as a guaranteed best price.
The homepage for it is Try Invisible Hand where it can then link you through to the download sites.
Its available as a Firefox Addon, as an Internet explorer add-on and as a Google Chrome extension.
Currently only available in the UK, USA and Germany (in English and German).
I'm not affiliated with Uswitch or The Invisible Hand, or any of these browsers, but its something MoneySavers would probably be interested in.All posts made are simply my own opinions and are not professional advice.0 -
As a quick note, I had a look around and this may be better off in the Techie forum? I'm not sure, but if a moderater could have a quick look and decide to move it over or not.
