Secret Santa - Help!!

We normally do Secret Santa in the normal way at work i.e. pick a name out of hat and buy that person a gift, but this year some bright spark has decided we're going to do it differently...everyone buys a gift for £5, wraps it up and then we all pick one off the table. I thought it was a fun idea at first as I normally seem to get stuck with the hardest person to buy for, but actually it's proving impossible as the present will have to suit either a man or a woman, ranging in age from early twenties to mid fifties!!
I'm hoping someone on here can provide me with inspiration on a gift that would suit anyone and costs £5 or less...or is this an impossible task?! As a last resort I'll just buy chocs or a bottle of wine maybe, but I'm guessing everyone will have the same idea so I want to think of something a bit different if I can.
Any ideas??
