Now that I've got your attention...haha sorry....
My friend is paying nearly £300 a month on her mobile bill to her boyfriend who lives in Ireland. (and has been for 4 years!!!!!!) (She is from the UK). I have suggested she get a landline and take advantage of the cheap international offers they have but not being au fait with the wonders of the internet she has asked me to do it.
Does anyone know a provider who will offer a good deal on landline calls from the uk to an mobile phone in ireland?!?!
Would be grateful for any advice, links or tips!
Thanks guys

I have now realised earning more money won't make me richer but clearing my debts will!!

Oh, goodness, is she stark raving? Get a landline, quick. Cheapest rates to Ireland are at present https://www.18185.co.uk - 4p connection charge then 1p/min to landlines, 14p to mobiles. Should cut her bill by about 80%.
Even better, if her BF has a landline, signs up to a similar company, https://www.13434.ie, and rings her, it'll cost him 5 cents connection charge then 0.5cents/min to landlines, 10cents/min to mobiles.0 -
Even better if they both have broadband they can use Skype for cheap/free calls:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I just worked out roughly how much she has spent!! I felt sick for her! then had the need to text and tell her!
He does not have a landline and I dont think he will get one but if it makes her bills cheaper I think my friend will get one (£100 from bt) will look up that link now...cheers guys!Making the most of what I've got.

And the chances of him having BB in Ireland not v high - even where it is available, costs prohibitive, which was why I didn't bother with it. Skype is more expensive than the other companies for ringing people not on BB.0
