Nice'n'easy - which shade to choose?

I am currently using 117A (Natural medium ash brown) , but want to very gradually go lighter. Does anyone know which is the next lightest shade? I don't want to go the "red" route. I have been looking for 'ash' in the description of the next ones on their list but it's not there...... they have a caramel light brown, a golden light brown and then a light brown. I don't want the jump in colours to be too noticeable.....
I have tried phoning the number on their website for advice, but it doesn't work . Any ideas where I can look next?

I use the Nice n Easy light brown which takes my hair back to it's natural bog-standard mid brown. I have used the light golden brown but it gave my hair slightly unnatural looking yellowy tones, especially when it lightened a touch after 2 or 3 weeks. I haven't used the caramel one, though.0

Looks like you have to go to the blondes
115a
114 perhaps?0 -
They used to do a light ash blonde colour if that's any help (although was often the one sold out everywhere - usually at the same time my roots started to show)? I'd say you might need to head toward the blondes as well to be honest - sounds like most of the browns seem to go redder than you'd like.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Have you tried this? Don't know if its any help but you put in your colour and then click on the colour and effect you are trying to achieve and it then gives you suggestions of colours to try.

Definitely can't go blonde route (yet) as I am a brunette. Just need the next light brown shade, but no red. The American site and shades are much better than the British....
I wish their advice line would work.0 -
Light Ash brown is brilliant, I have used it for years and it doesn't make your hair go organgey colour0

I agree with bellamonkey, I use that shade and it really is true to colour, just to point out that if your hair is already coloured or in less than perfect condition any colour will come out a bit darker than on the pack so maybe if you choose a dark blonde ash colour it will be the lighter brown you require it took me while to work this out:rolleyes:but once I did my colouring has never been a problem and I have been most colours over the years:Dand I cant stand the red tones either:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

It is out there, I use the nice n easy light ash brown permanent colour to cover grey, I think it may be a popular colour because I quite often have to search too I get mine in Boots or Superdrug which ever one has the stock also you could try larger Tescos, Morrisons etcThank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0
