fantastic cake...well done you...i too make family bday cakes and get people go ooohhh you should do that for a living...erm no...the icing sugar mess alone is enough to put me off..never mind the icing not doing as its told

and i hate seeing people cut my cakes...i always have to look away especially one that took 12 hours over 3 days to do lol
but seriously it is fab..and im sure the lil un loved it
Ha ha I hate it when people I hardly know ask me to make them a cake and expect it to cost £10
I never make money on my cakes I only ever get back what I have spent but even just doing the peppa cake I spent £16 in the icing shop alone and that's not counting the actual cake + the hours of my own time it can take.
Oh and people getting offended when I say no
People think making your own is the cheaper option but sometimes I'd love to be able to just nip down to tesco and pick up a £8 cake
My boys are horrified by the thought of a shop bought cake now  and my ds who is 7 was in tears a few months ago because I told him I probably wouldn't be able to make his 100th birthday cake :rotfl:0
