I kwym - And i agree it is extremely quiet here today.

Nuttygal - How is your daughter?

She still isn't drinking much but they are letting me keep her at home for the minute. She has managed a tiny amount of food today (2 crackers!) which is all she's had since thursday teatime :( They don't seem too concerned about her food intake as long as I can get more fluids into her. It's a nightmare :( xxx

    What's up with her?

When my youngest was in hospital they said the food wasn't important, just water, so they monitored his water intake and gave him a drip overnight when his intake was too low. mind you he lost a kilo over the ten days which is a lot for a 2 year old!

I sneak fluid into him by buying those muller little stars jellies. they're more appetising than ordinary jelly, maybe because they are in cute little pots and you can have all 3 flavours? also ice lollies. I also found that he drinks more if it's in a fruit shoot/sunny d type bottle, with a sports cap.

Have you tried using the Freezie pops you can get - at least if she sucks on these she is getting some fluid. When Alex couldn't keep anything down the Dr said that was better than nothing. The body can go without food for quite sometime but it will be the dehydration they'll get worried about. Is it a virus?? Always seems to be these days and they can never give you anything for these things. ((((HUGS))))
Cost of this Hamster Hunt (inc postage):
    2 x Num Nums - £36.70, 1 x Chunk £13.50, 1 x Chunk £15.50, Slide £26.89, House £25.94, Car £14.99, Ball £9.99, Surfboard £9.99, Skateboard £9.99, Wheel £24.19 TOTAL:£187.68

A big thanks to you MSE'ers - especially Maximouse :A

Well returned hammie and playhouse they thought I was returning them due to the safety alert but I explained it was because son wants a cuckcoo clock instead.

You can also quite often get them at about RRP on ebay now (at least seemed the case last night), would be okay if you could find a seller with the three you need.

they're not too silly on bay a the moment, and apparently argos don't put them in the stock checker, so you might find 2 in your local. they say 2 per customer but i doubt they would recognise you if you went back next day for another one? or you could take someone with you?

She has a nasty throat infection which seems to have made her mouth very sensitive aswell. She is in agony when she eats/drinks and is refusing most things. She will not take lollies, ice cream, jellies, yoghurts etc as have tried everything. She is on antibiotics so will see if there's some improvement. She also has a urine infection which is not unusual for her but is complicating things further at the minute. Am hoping that she improves overnight. Yesterday they were going to admit her to hospital but have agreed to let me try a few more times to increase her intake xxx
