In regards to the hammies, they are horrendous to get out the box and to remove the securing straps, I doubt a kiddie could do it as it takes quite a bit of fiddling about to get the straps off the bottom of the hammie, so it might be worth taking them out of the box and wrapping them separately - only problem is if you accidently press the back when stuffing the stockings, you'll be in all kinds of trouble trying to shut it back up and stop it wiggling about :rotfl:

  • am eating cadburys what chocolate fingers..... mmm one may lead to another......mmm maybe the whole box perhaps

I'm off to bed now but only because I feel very guilty and very sick, hubby went to bed an hour ago and I couldn't resist eating the toberone the girls were going to give him for Christmas. Had to eat the whole lot to ensure no evidence remains come morning.

Been on Woolies website most of the evening. They have clitch if anyone is interested. If you load your basket over £30 and put in free delivery code kiss kiss 607 then remove the extra items, you still get the free delivery. Just bought 7 duvet covers for £15 delivered. Nice one.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006m99d

Tonight's Jonathan Ross programme, where he had the hammies, is now on the BBC iplayer

Starts around 6 minutes 17 seconds in...and its only on for a couple of minutes. Doesn't do much to promote the hammies as he doesn't mention anything about the things you can get for the hamster and says its not the most exciting toy but it would be fun to have in your stocking. He obviously wasn't very well briefed then, was he!

sounds like such a fab idea, i'm going to ask you very nicely if you would please let me know where one can order these from as i really really need the boat(and the rest of it!). to be honest, the way some of the uk companies have been handling the orders, i'd rather send my money overseas. the spanish company elcorteingles were absolute stars!

Just be aware that a number of the new items are not expected to ship until Feb (could that be arriving in UK in March?).

That's a long wait should you be expecting it in Jan.

That may well be the first way as Character have so far indicated that they do not have a final order list for retailers.

As things stand, we don't know whether Character will import every item or not ... and as we know, that's the only official channel for the items to appear at the usual suspects.

DON'T DO IT!!! I think the hysteria will die down and prices go back to normal - says diamond in hope!!:D

Absolutely not. I think that £10 is absolutely fair and more than adequate for a single mass produced hamster with some electronics.

As someone who has worked closely with Character you might expect me to say that ... but what you might not expect me to say is that I think that the plastic moulded playsets must be making someone a packet somewhere and I would certainly HOPE that these could fall due to competitive pressure in the New Year when the consumer demand down't force the prices higher..
