Keep trying with the credit cards on the Spanish site. It doesn't have to be a debit card. Mine went through on around the 5th try. It was also at around 1am. Perhaps the system is quieter then so it might go through. HTH

Na orders status top right corner and I used debit card.

Thanks for the help. Not having good day. Believe it or not, I was also one of those to fall foul of JL's "mix-up". Now consoling myself with large glass of vino (not spanish!)
