  • Not play.com selling at that price, it's traders. People can sell on Play.com like they can on amazon and charge whatever price they like.

Amazon restrict toys to 'certain' approved sellers from November to January. Hence the ridiculous prices on Amazon Market place. I think it is an awful policy that stifles competition!!

Ah that explains the difference in price between Ebay and Amazon where the hamsters and their accessories are concerned. I still don't understand why they're ALL setting their prices so high though (on Amazon). It's still a competitive market, even if only a select few are in it. You'd think that at least a couple would go for a much lower price that still makes them a profit and allows them to sell more :confused:It looks almost like they've all agreed between them not to drop below a set price.

I thik the raffles are great if they give 50% to charity at least someone is benefitting from this.

That was my initial reaction too but then, as others have pointed out in the past, there's absolutely no way of regulating them. No way of knowing if the seller even has the hamsters and no way of knowing how they pick the winner and nothing to stop them from getting a friend to buy a ticket and then declaring THEM the winner.
