The second spanish set works out at £69 incl p&p not sure wether to get it or not.........( I mean on the second website)
I couldn't find it, is it the same as the elcorteingles set? We worked out that the RRP on those items would be roughly £55 (allowing £10 for half a house, also remember the carrier has no blanket though) so if someone was buying from tru i can see them easily spending a lot more than £69 on that lot, what with their fiver postage on each item. ytc etc. are selling at a more than RRP too.
So, even if you got that stuff at RRP and didn't have to pay postage from anywhere you would spend £55, well £65 because you'd buy a whole house.
I would say it's worth doing if you actually want all the stuff, but if all you wanted was one hammy and one slide like I originally did then no, it's expensive. You could probably sell one or more of the bits though?
When I ordered the spanish set to begin with I planned to give the carrier away (you could post it in an envelope) and to sell the wheel and maybe the house, and swap patches for a more manly hammy. All I wanted was a hammy and a slide. But I (well, MIL really) got carried away and decided to keep the lot, and buy an extra hammy.
£70 is a lot of money for some bits of plastic but if it's what their hearts desire, and you think they'd play with it then yes, I would do it. I think the hamsters themselves are excellent, well worth the money.
If you don't buy it and it sells out would you be tempted to pay far over the RRP to buy any of the items from another company?52% tight0 -

HTH
Ok, lets cost it up at rrp and at ebay current prices...
RRP (not including p&p):
Hamster -£10
Carrier-£5
Wheel-£15
Slide-£15
Half house - £10-£15
Total - £55-£60
Ebay current prices approx (inc p&p for each item):
Hamster - £20
Carrier -£14
Wheel-£45
Slide-£45
Halfhouse-£15-£20
Total £139 - £144
spanish set at £70 is looking quite attractive tbh.....0 -

I'm happy with half a house, I think it's enoughespecially if you have other bits like a wheel or slide. I suppose if you have carpet you might need a whole house to give the hammies room to play? Did someone say they don't run on carpet?
