Nectar now exchange points for Amazon gift certificates

I've personally found Blockbuster the best redemption for Nectar points. 500 points (worth £2.50 in Argos/Sainsburys) is one movie rental, which for a new film is usually £3.95.0

As Amazon prices are far more competitive than Argos, I would definitely rather have Amazon vouchers0

But I get that from Tesco Clubcard; for £12 in vouchers I get x12 Blockbuster rentals!
Must admit that usually spend nectar in store as they have yet to come up with a deal that impresses.0 -
i have not claimed nectar points in 4+ years of shoping at Sainsburys... this deal means if you spend £4300.00 you get..... £20 back. Terrible returns i'm sure if i shopped elsewhere and bought what i'd spent £4.3k at Saino's over the years i'd have saved myself WAY more than £20."Sealed Pot challenge" member No.1378 -

Not always- depends what your buying and if what you want is in the sale. Then theres that lovely [STRIKE]chav[/STRIKE] gold jewellery, I mean, come-on, amazon just can't compete!:rotfl:0 -
Normally I prefer Sainsbury over Tesco. I hate the way they(like all supermarkets) try and deceive people with their pricing policies(such as bogofs at prices inflated to levels never normally seen) and Tesco seem to indulge in it more than their rivals. I have got to admit however that tesco's clubcard points is the more generous of the two schemes.
I wonder if Sainsbury thought they would be fooling anyone by doubling the points earned per pound spent while simultaneously halving the cash offered per point redeemed?0 -

I agree - Tesco is better for Blockbuster but if you've got Nectar points, the Blockbuster deal gives you the best return - good value for money on new release rentals.
However, the Amazon deal is just plain AWFUL value for money!0 -
But aren't most of the Nectar deals poor value for money? I've never actually spent any of the points I have earnt since the scheme started because the deals were so awful.
I am not saying the Amazon deal is good but it is the one I am most likely to use.0
