Ladies, I need your advice...

Hi everyone...

I have an xmas dinner and entertainment evening to go to on the 19th december ( as mentioned in my dress thread) and I would like to lose a little weight to look good in my dress. What is a good low fat diet I could go on, but obviously I don't want to starve... I'm guessing along the lines of plenty of fruit, salad, and drink lots etc... Any ideas? I've already pretty much cut out bread (and incidentally feel less bloated for it..) Then soon as the dinner has been and gone I can get back to my usual 'diet' of grazing on what I fancy lol.

Thanks in advance.

Does sugar free squash count as water? Lol I really don't think I could stomach just water for over 2 weeks!

You'll lose a lot more weight going on a low carb diet even short term than you will doing anything else. It's no surprise you feel less bloated with cutting out the bread (high carb).

Its a good idea to avoid things that bloat you, and to control diet BUT, considering this is for a party and afterwards you are not planning on remaining on a diet I would caution against anything too harsh. Too look good on the night I would have thought besides being bloat free, you want to look well rested, with great, glowing skin and full of vitality! a balanced diet, inluding lots of fruit and vegetables, water making sure you're not retaining water on the day, and a some freash air and exercise every day between now and then will probably have you a bit slimmer, les bloated, but really looking good, not drawn, tired but a few pounds lighter!

Thanks for the replies. I can't really afford to buy any of the Celebrity Slim stuff, but I will bear that in mind for another time, is it a more modern version of Slim Fast?
Have got a friend doing this with me also, she is going to the meal too. Will be reporting to each other each day, comparing what we have eaten and telling each other off for slip ups lol. We both agreed to have a 'naughty' dinner tonight, and then start the diet tomorrow. I had bread :( and I do feel a bit bloated, so even after the diet's over I'm going to cut right down on it. Have to take a trip to the supermarket tomorrow I think as I only have two oranges and some salad bits left... not much else that is healthy lurking in the house.
