Sainsburys Vouchers Arriving Late!

Hi all,

My mother has just received her Christmas money off vouchers for Sainsburys today. Wonderful vouchers such as £8 off an £80 shop and £10 off a £100 shop, but two of them are for the last 2 weeks so I can't use them. I shopped in Sainsburys and spent the required amount during those time periods but obviously I didn't know there were any vouchers in the post coming to me.

Nectar say it isn't their problem and the store refuse to deal with it either. So that has left me £18 out of pocket, when I met all the conditions because they didn't get the vouchers to me in time.

Rubbish! Also, I still haven't received any vouchers at all, despite using my Nectar card all the time.

    Have you registered your card via their online system? I did this with my husbands and we now get offers for that card sent in an email where as my card was registered via snail mail years ago and i get the vouchers through the post.

    Alternatively you could register a new card online and say you have lost the old one and to have the points transferred over and keep ontop of the offers that way.

    We haven't had any through this year, we are signed up and shop there weekly. I just assumed it was due to the machines printing them out in store now.

    Personally I wouldn't see it as £18 out of pocket though as it is sent as a goodwill gesture, and even though it's a shame they're late, I'm sure you'll still make some good savings over the next few weeks.

  • I havent received any vouchers this year and I shop regularly at Sainsburys. My mother in law got hers weeks ago. I phoned their customer careline and they said most people would get vouchers but not everyone - think I'll shop elsewhere from now on if they dont value my custom!!!!!

    Me neither, and i spend a fortune with them. It makes me wonder why i bother!
  • I get vouchers regularly. Probably because I only shop there occaisionally so they know there is more potential profit to be had from me !

    I would suggest the OP writes to Sainsbury explain what happened and send recipt and voucher. Nothing to lose except a stamp!

    Check your Marketing preferences with Nectar. If they are set up not to allow partners to send you things then Sainsburys won't send you anything.

    The careline probably wouldn't have access to this as Nectar are a separate company.
  • Thanks Helix - I am one of those who never receive vouchers from them, despite spending a fortune there each week. I shall check my marketing preferences now.

    I shop there regularly and never get any offer vouchers. I have rung them a couple of times, they have checked my preferences and say I have opted to receive mail, but it is the luck of the draw who gets them. Guess I am unlucky.
