There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

I'll make sure i don't go then, seeing as i'm in full employment pay loads of tax and will be at work anyway...
Ooh do i sound bitter, yes.
Sorry0 -
Why do i bother to work when all the lowlifes get everything free?0
-
Apparently, asylum seekers get in for nowt PLUS get a free meal at the Beamish cafe (it is however mandatory that they have at least four kids & are accompanied by parents from both sides - no problem there then!)0

Lots of bitter people here! I work hard and pay taxes, and yes I am bitter about the number of bums not getting out of their houses, but not EVERYONE on benefits is a worthless jobless layabout playing the system for all they can get - there are many genuine disabled, ill, on a low income and those who genuinely have difficulty finding work who *would* benefit from something like this, taking their kids out for a day they would not otherwise be able to afford.0

I completely agree. Don't these people get enough handouts without the rest of us supplementing their days out too?!?!0 -

& coming soon.....
'benefit claimants' discounts for Disneyworld, Carnival Cruises & tables at the The Ivy (all nicely subsidised by a taxpayer near you)0 -
Please remember to be nice to other moneysavers!!!
There are a lot of people on this site that do claim these benefits for whatever reason and could find this thread very unwelcoming.
I don't think the Grabbit board is the best place for a debate about the Benefits System!0 -
it's a sad state of affairs , when somebody posts something really useful to a few .. just to be shot down in flames.
having been to beamish a couple of times now , i think this is a good day out and a decent offer from them,(being a private company they are free to charge who or what they like) to open it up to people who otherwise might not be able to afford it .
ps , i'm a taxpayer ..........not that it should make any difference..... we're all visiting this site for the same purpose"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
happy travels !!

Do people think about what they say or type before doing so?
What would you do if you were in the position of Asylum Seekers and Illegal Immigrents?
People always seem to pick on these groups and never mention the rich who dodge paying tax by using clever accountants. Also they never mention the companies who make millions out of cheap labour of migrant workers!
I work and pay tax and have done so since leaving school and luckly have never been out of work.0 -
If you want to debate about the benefits system, please use the Discussion Time forum. There are many legitiate jobseekers on this forum who may take offense from some of the comments here. The original post is helpful, so please don't let the thread be dragged off topic.0
